Bitcoin fell below $ 12K
Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, is trading at $ 11,780, minus 2 percent today, after falling below $ 12,000.
Bitcoin has fallen around 2 percent since midnight last night. Bitcoin dropped to $ 11,780, according to prices compiled by Bloomberg.
Litecoin fell 6.25 percent to $ 62.8, according to Bitstamp. Despite increasing 52 percent since the beginning of the year, Litecoin remained 83 percent below the $ 375 peak reached in December 2019. Bitcoin fluctuated 2.2 percent, trading between $ 11,835 and $ 12,097.
Bitcoin, which gained 2.4 percent last week and 65 percent this year, is 39 percent below the $ 19,511 peak it saw in December 2017.
Bitcoin contracts, which expired on August 28 at CME, fell to $ 11,880 in transactions with a volume of 1,717 contracts. In the entire previous session, the trading volume was 10,621 contracts. Each contract represents five Bitcoins.
