Belarus Amassed Troops On The Western Border
After the elections in Belarus, the country was messed up, the opposition protests claiming that the elections were manipulated. While thousands of people were detained in the demonstrations, more than 100 people were injured and 2 lives were lost as a result of the harsh police intervention. Lukashenko, who has ruled the country with an iron fist for 26 years, stated that no concessions would be made to the demonstrators, and emphasized that foreign powers played games on the country.
PILLING SOLDIERS ON THE WEST BORDER
Explaining that troops have been piled up on the western border of the country, Lukashenko stated that fighter jets are constantly on patrol to control the borders in the air. It was stated that after Lukashenko’s last move, there was an extraordinary military activity on the western border of Belarus both in the air and on the ground. Lukashenko held the western countries and some neighboring countries responsible for the upheavals in the country
Lukashenko has a condition
During a meeting with the staff of a factory in Minsk, Lukashenko responded to calls for renewal of the elections.
Lukashenko said:
* As you want, and even those who want an alternative do not object, we must first accept the new constitution.
* The Constitution must be accepted by referendum, because the previous constitution was accepted by a referendum. If you want, we can hold both parliamentary and presidential elections and local elections according to the new constitution.
