Boris Johnson and his fiancee Symonds have had a son
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds were announced to have a son this morning.
The prime minister spokesperson announced that the baby and mother born in a London hospital are in good health.
Johnson and 32-year-old Symonds, who was stated to be engaged at the end of last year, announced in March that they were expecting a baby at the beginning of the summer.
Symonds and Johnson are the first couple to settle down in the Prime Minister’s residence known as Downing Street number 10 without being married.
Boris Johnson, who received coronavirus treatment for about three weeks in the hospital, returned to work on Monday.
Symonds was also disclosed to show signs of coronavirus.
Carrie Symonds was involved in the election campaign in 2012 when Boris Johnson was re-elected as mayor of London.
Boris Johnson has four children from his second marriage.
The ruling Conservative Party, ministers, and deputies, and the opposition parties congratulated the couple.
“What good news is in the midst of such ambiguity. 2020 will definitely be an unforgettable year,” said Parliament Speaker Lindsay Hoyle.
