Bugatti Chiron Sport ” Les légendes du ciel ”
Bugatti’s history began in aviation. This is exactly what the special model “Les Légends du Ciel”, which is based on the Chiron, is supposed to remind of. If you want to take off with the hypercar, you have to hurry, because only 20 units are built.
Special editions are nothing new at Bugatti. The subject of the limited versions of the super sports car is new every time. In this case, the Chiron Sport bears the name “Les Légends du Ciel” and several equipment details refer to the brand’s aviation past. Only 20 units of the 1500 hp Bugatti, which has a maximum torque of 1600 Newton meters, are to be built. Like the production model, “Le Légends du Ciel” can reach a top speed of 420 km / h.
According to Bugatti, the matt gray exterior paintwork, which bears the name “Gris Serpent”, is a modern interpretation of aircraft paintwork from the 1920s. In the middle, a white stripe extends over the entire length of the Chiron, while the exposed carbon side skirts have tricolor paintwork.
Carbon fiber was also used on the rear of the vehicle and the engine cover. Another special feature is a 3D-printed cover for the exhaust tailpipes made of Inconel. The grille of the radiator grill is made of laser-cut aluminum and cites the pattern of the stitching on the leather seats, which are supposed to be reminiscent of an air parade formation.

In the interior, not only the seats but also surfaces were covered with natural light brown leather. Bugatti sees this as a throwback to the equipment of historic aircraft. Aluminum parts in the cockpit area provide a contrast to the animal skin. Hand-sketched racing scenes from the early days of aviation can be found in the interior door panels.
The door entry lights also project the edition logo of “Les Légends du Ciel” onto the floor when getting in and out. As an option, Bugatti offers a two-part glass roof, which, like previous planes, reveals a view of the sky. But a look there costs at least 3.4 million euros. In the end, the following should apply here: Not even flying is more beautiful!
