COUNTRIES WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BUY THE VACCINE AT A LOWER PRICE
Albert Bourla, CEO of US-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer, who developed a vaccine with the German biotech company BioNTech against the corona virus outbreak, made statements. Bourla spoke about the United States, which has been providing financial support since the beginning of the epidemic, during a meeting on Tuesday night as a teleconference. Reminding that the US government paid about $ 2 billion for the developed vaccine, Bourla said, “All developed countries will not be able to buy the vaccine at a lower price than the US is committed to buy.”
PEOPLE SHOULD BE VACCINATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN
The U.S. had committed to pay $ 2 billion to 50 million people to make a two-dose vaccine. It was also announced that the two-dose vaccine will be on sale at $ 39.
Speaking about the Covid-19 vaccine, Bourla said, “People should be vaccinated over and over again for a while. Otherwise we cannot gain herd immunity globally. The reason for this is that the immunity decreases over time or the virus mutates ”.
