DEATH TOLL INCREASES IN AIR INDIA EXPRESS PLANE CRASH
In Kozhikode, India, the aircraft belonging to Air India Express was split into two by the effect of the impact when landing on the runway. The plane was carrying 184 passengers 4 cabin attendants and 2 pilots from Dubai to India. It was stated that the first response to the injured on the plane that came off the runway while trying to land at the airport was made by the medical personnel at the airport.
K Gopalakrishnan, one of the officials who gave information about the incident, said that the plane carried people trapped in Dubai due to the corona virus. Announcing that the number of those who lost their lives in the accident rose to 18, Gopalakrishnan emphasized that the captain and co-pilot were among those who died.
It was stated that the weather was quite rainy when the Boeing 737 type aircraft landed on the runway. Gopalakrishnan said, “All passengers were sent to various hospitals and corona tests were applied. Autopsy procedures of those who lost their lives are also carried out in accordance with Covid-19.”
