The Russian government has taken a decision that includes employees of state institutions who go to work in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DHC) and Lugansk People’s Republic (LHC) to receive double salaries for the time they work there.
Double Salary for Russian Government Employees Who’ll Work in Donbass. In the decision of the Russian government, which includes paying double wages to state agency employees who go to work in the DHC and LHC territories, there are expressions “as long as they are present to work in the DHC, LHC and other lands”. It is not specified what is meant by the term ‘other lands’, but it is thought to refer to areas of Ukraine currently under the control of the Russian army.
Meanwhile, it is noted that employees of Russian institutions other than federal institutions that will take part in the work to be done to repair infrastructure facilities in Donbass will also be able to receive double salaries.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s deputy chief of staff, Sergey Kiriyenko, said that the DHC and LHC regions could be developed under the auspices of the Russian regional administrations. For example, the administration of the Leningrad region will help rebuild the kindergarten and primary school in the city of Enakiyevo in the DHC.
The administrators of Russia’s Kursk region also said that they would help develop the heating infrastructure and repair the roads to prepare Donbass for winter.
Governor of St. Petersburg Aleksandr Beglov stated that they will assist in the construction of shelters for dogs living on the streets of Mariupol, where a great deal of destruction took place.
