Fire on Battleship in the US
4 civilians and 17 crew were injured in the fire on the USS Bonhomme Richard warship, which was anchored in the port in the USA.
The US Navy “USS Bonhomme Richard” warship was reported to have caused a large-scale fire and injured at least 21 people.
Mike Raney, Vice President of the US Naval Forces Pacific Fleet Public Relations, made a written statement about the fire on the amphibious assault ship.
Raney said in the statement that the ship was in the military port in San Diego, California, and was recently under maintenance and repair.
Mike Raney stated that there were only 160 crew members during the fire due to the weekend onboard, which has a capacity of about one thousand crew, and 4 were injured and 17 were transferred to the hospital.
While the cause of the fire could not be determined yet, it was stated that the San Diego coast guard and firefighters started a comprehensive study to extinguish the fire.
