US actor, producer and director George Clooney made statements about the former president of the USA, Donald Trump, in an interview with the BBC.
Clooney, who is in England to promote his new movie ‘The Tender Bar‘, which was screened at the London Film Festival, answered questions from Andrew Marr from the BBC. Asked by Marr, referring to Joe Biden’s poll results, Clooney also briefly addressed Trump, as he stated that he felt the presenter could announce his intention to run for president again in the United States.
Known for his closeness to the Democratic Party, the US actor stated that he hopes Trump will not be re-elected, and said, “Before he became President, he was a jerk who chased after girls.”
Clooney, who said that he met Trump at various parties when he was a real estate magnate before he was elected president, did not paint a positive picture of the Republican leader. The famous actor said, “It’s hilarious because Donald Trump is just a knucklehead… he was just a guy who chased girls… that’s all he was… Whenever we meet, he points out a person he likes and asks, ‘What is this girl’s name?'”
Clooney, who said that Trump may try to be a candidate again in 2024, expressed hope that the American people would not make the same “mistake” this time.
Elsewhere in the interview, Clooney revealed that he was not considering going into politics because of his age, and told his wife, Amal Clooney, that they should live their lives to the fullest for the rest of their years.
