Addressing the nation in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced some measures taken in the fight against coronavirus.

“The whole world economy is under attack.
If you don’t want to be like other countries, follow the rules.
Don’t think that coronavirus can’t happen to me. This can happen to anyone. Russia, Europe or the USA are at risk of the Covid-19 outbreak. The most important thing is to stay at home. Stay at your home.
I think that public voting should be postponed to a later date. We will evaluate how the situation in the regions and across the country has improved and we will decide on the new day of public voting based solely on the professional opinion, the advice of doctors, experts.
Taxes will be postponed to prevent bankruptcies.
Now I’m calling out to all employers; our main task is to ensure stability in the labor market, not to allow unemployment to increase. The state will support the business community to fulfill these duties.
SMEs, micro-enterprises, especially those in the service sector are currently facing serious difficulties. Their orders and turnover are decreasing. Such companies should be helped to continue their work, that is, to keep their employees at work. Tax and VAT reductions will be made for small/medium enterprises. “
