Man Who Died In His Flat Was Found Nine Years Later In Norway
Last year in Norway, a man over the age of 60 was found dead in an apartment in an apartment in eastern Oslo. Police said in a new statement to the Norwegian state channel NRK that the man remained dead in the flat for nine years.
“We thought a lot about it, as my colleagues and the people who have worked with it for many years,” Oslo police Chief of Police, Grete Lien Metlid, told NRK. “This is a special situation and it makes us ask questions about how this can happen,” he says. According to the findings in the apartment, the police presume that the man died in April 2011.
The man was found when a janitor entered the apartment regarding maintenance work. Autopsy shows that the man died of natural causes. Police Chief Grethe Lien Metlid says, judging by the information we have, one person chooses to communicate very little with others. It is stated in the statements that the man did not have a life connected with his family and others. Since no one had contacted him, his neighbors thought he was in an institution. Others thought he has moved.
