Munich bans yellow “Unvaccinated” stars
Again and again, protesters wear a yellow star based on the “Jewish star” of the Nazi era in protests against the corona restrictions in Germany. The city of Munich no longer tolerates this comparison of the persecution of Jews and the fight against epidemics.
The city of Munich intervenes against the use of the yellow “Jewish star” on corona demonstrations. A spokesman for the police confirmed that the ban had already been part of the city of Munich’s ruling on the demonstration on Saturday. As in other cities, several hundred people protested on Saturday in the Bavarian capital against the curtailment of fundamental rights in the fight against the coronavirus.
At the demonstration in Munich, however, no violation of the condition was registered, said the police spokesman. The background to the ban is that at some Corona rallies the so-called “Judenstern”, a label imposed on the Jews by the Nazis, was shown with the inscription “unvaccinated”. This is intended to awaken associations with the persecution during the Nazi era. The city of Munich no longer wants to tolerate this. According to the police, there is a fine for violations.
Also this Sunday, people have demonstrated in some cities against restrictions imposed by the country’s Corona regulation. In Stuttgart, among others, several hundred demonstrators took to the streets. According to the police, everything remained peaceful. The hygiene and distance rules would be observed, said a police spokeswoman.
There had already been a number of demonstrations on Saturday. According to police, the number of participants was significantly lower than in the past few weeks; when tens of thousands protested against the restrictions in the fight against the corona pandemic.
