STARSHIP’S PROTOTYPE HAS SUCCESSFULLY PASSED THE TEST
SpaceX‘s next-generation spacecraft Starship’s prototype has successfully passed the 150-meter flight test. In the attempt made unmanned, the vehicle went up after landing on the ground and landed back. The engine called Raptor, which will be used in Starship, is planned to take people to the Moon and Mars in the future.
There hasn’t been a new test for the Raptor engine in a year. “Mars is looking real,” said Elon Musk, who shared on Twitter shortly after the test flight. The Raptor engine, which operates with liquid methane and liquid oxygen, is aimed to be used in extraterrestrial journeys in the future. There will be six of these engines in Starship. The spacecraft will be able to carry 100 people at a time. Another vehicle will take Starship into orbit so that the world can defeat gravity. This Super Heavy vehicle will also have 31 Raptor engines.
