The Russian Ministry of Health epidemiologist Nikolay Briko stated that the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) can be transmitted from person to person at a distance of 4 meters.
Speaking to Russian state television Rossiya 24, epidemiologist Nikolay Briko stated that by updating the data on the transmission distance of Kovid-19, the coronavirus can be transmitted from person to person at a distance of 4 meters.
Stating that this data was confirmed by the new research of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Briko emphasized that the virus could stay in the air for 30 minutes to 3 hours and that the virus remained on the surface of objects for a few days.
The Russian specialist thus underlined that the transmission can occur not only by airborne droplets but also by contact.
In Russia, 21 thousand 102 Covid-19 cases have been recorded so far, 1,700 people survived and 170 have died. Vigilance is in effect in many parts of the country, citizens are warned to stay in their homes, while flights and trains with other countries are suspended.
