Alexandr Gintsburg, Head of the Gamaleya Research Center, the developer of the Sputnik V vaccine, said at the press conference that the number of severe and fatal cases increased from 1-2 percent to 5-10 percent.

RDIF: Sputnik V Vaccine Showed 97.8 Percent Efficacy In UAE
On the other hand, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announced that the Russian Sputnik V vaccine had a 97.8 percent effect against coronavirus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and 100 percent effective in preventing the disease from being severe.

Sputnik V was registered in the UAE in January with an expedited procedure.
