Twitter is working on a new feature that will make posts only visible to a select group of people.
This new experiment by the company, which tested the “trusted friends‘ feature last year, is the same as the ‘close friends‘ feature on Instagram.
Sharing can be customized by creating a new page where up to 150 followers can be added, with the application called Flock.
It is said that after the application is activated, a text will appear saying “You can see this tweet because the person who shared it added you to their flock”.
Making a statement on the subject, Twitter spokesperson Tatiana Britt said:
“Twitter is always working on new ways to help people have healthy conversations, and we’re currently exploring ways to let people post more privately. We currently have no more news to share about the new feature. But we can confirm that Twitter Flock is just a placeholder name.“
