Leslie Wexler, chief executive of L Brands, which owns Victoria’s Secret, announced they would re-evaluate the fashion show’s marketing strategy.
In December 2018, 3.3 million people watched the fashion show, which was broadcast on. Walt Disney-owned ABC Channel. The first fashion show had reached 12 million people.
They were losing customers lately.
The Guardian newspaper noted that the company’s customers are turning to more modern brands such as Aerie, owned by American Eagle Outfiter, and Savage X Fenty, owned by pop singer Rihanna.

The company is closing at least 53 stores in the U.S. this year.
