Iran’s Automotive Giant Will Build A Factory In Turkey
After the German automotive giant Volkswagen automotive company Iran Khodro Company also decided to establish a factory in Turkey.
While Iranian investors sliding on their investments Turkey in order to reduce their impact, the Middle East’s largest car manufacturer in Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) also started initiatives to establish factories in Van.
In this context, Farshad Moqimi, CEO of the company who came to Van with his delegation a while ago, met with business representatives Governor and Deputy Mayor Mehmet Emin Bilmez, Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) Chairman Mehmet Aslan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Necdet Takva and Eastern Anatolia Development Agency Secretary General Halil Ibrahim in the city.
Later, Moqimi, who met with the officials of the General Directorate of Development Agencies and Presidential Investment Office and conveyed that they had decided to establish an automobile factory in Van. The factory, which is planned to be established on a 50-hectare area to be allocated in the Van Organized Industrial Zone, is expected to employ about a thousand people in the first place.
The Governor and the Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Bilmez, said that in recent times, there are very serious contacts with Iran about the investment. Bilmez, who explaining many companies in Iran due to the sanctions of factories trying to move to different countries, Van is also the most appropriate place for these companies, recorded that many companies in Iran on the subject of contact.
Bilmez, who said that Khodro Company in Iran wants to produce vehicles in Van, said “A brand that produces minibuses and vans. We met with the team of this company. In our research, we have determined that they are a serious company. Then we met these investors with the officials of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and Presidential Investment Office. We hope that the company’s investment will be an example for other companies. ”
Bilmez stressed that if the investment is realized, to hundreds of people will open a new business door.
