US Sanctions To Iran On 40th Anniversary Of Hostage Crisis
The US Treasury Department imposed sanctions to 9 senior Iranian officials, including Mucteba Khamenei, son of Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khamenei, President of the Judiciary and İbrahim Reisi and Chief of General Staff Mohammed Bakiri on the 40th anniversary of the occupation of the Tehran Embassy.
In a written statement from the ministry stated that “Foreign Assets Control Office (OFAC), including the Iranian chief of staff, the Iranian regime’s radical agenda of Iran’s unelected leader who appointed or working on behalf of his 9 people took the sanctions list.”
